For 256 colors adapters
MMB 2.0 can use standard windows palette or Graphic MMB optimized palette.
The second one is good for photography and in order to  use it you have to change the colors in your pictures.
Here are the palettes for Corel PhotoPaint and Photoshop.
Load your picture and change the mode to Indexed and chose the palette file and diffusion.
This will change the colors in the picture so all of them will have the same colors and they will look the same.
